Reasons and solutions for screw air compressors that cannot be unloaded and frequently loaded and unloaded

1.1  Failure to uninstall

         During the operation of the screw air compressor, many users have encountered the phenomenon that the equipment cannot be unloaded or frequently loaded and unloaded. There are many situations that cause this phenomenon. Let me discuss with you the reasons and how to deal with them.

         During the working process of the air compressor, the actual pressure exceeds the unloading pressure set by the equipment and continues to run.

Causes of faults and solutions

Reason 1: The intake valve cannot be completely closed (the control panel shows unloading operation but the pressure is still rising);

Solution:

1. Check whether the solenoid valve is faulty, and add grease to the intake valve bearing

2. The trachea at the top of the solenoid valve is disconnected or not connected. Connect the solenoid valve to the trachea.

3. The intake valve piston is stuck, dismantle the piston or replace the sealing ring.

4. The sealing ring of the intake valve piston is damaged, replace the sealing part.

5. The orifice inside the intake valve is clogged. Disassemble and inspect the intake valve to remove impurities.

6. The valve port of the solenoid valve is blocked, disassemble and inspect the intake valve, and remove impurities.

Reason 2: The pressure of the relief solenoid valve fails and the pressure rises slowly;

Solution: Overhaul or replace the relief solenoid valve.

Reason 3: There is a fault phenomenon in the control circuit;

Solution: Repair or replace the faulty parts on the control circuit.

Reason 4: The control panel displays loading and running;

Solution: The control panel failure can not get the signal.

2.2 Frequent loading and unloading failure phenomenon

           Frequent loading and unloading occurs during the operation of the air compressor.

Causes of faults and solutions

Reason 1: Leakage in the gas pipeline or increased gas consumption;

Solution: Check the gas pipeline for leaks and repair them to reduce gas ports.

Reason 2: The minimum pressure valve spool is not tightly sealed and the spring fails;

Solution: Replace the minimum pressure valve, spool, spring, etc.

Reason 3: The unloading pressure setting of the air compressor is too low;

Solution: Increase the unloading pressure through the control panel.

Reason 4: The loading and unloading pressure settings are too close;

Solution: reset the loading and unloading pressure, the pressure difference range is 1 ~ 2.5bar.
